Haunted Hendersonville Kicks Off 2025 Season
For its third consecutive year, the Haunted Hendersonville Tour returns this October to guide brave locals and visitors through the city’s eerie and mysterious past. This one-hour, spine-tingling walking tour offers a captivating look into the historic haunts and forgotten lore of Hendersonville, led by acclaimed author and folklorist Allen Sircy.
Each Sunday evening in October, participants will embark on a journey into the city’s darker side. The tour will feature chilling stories behind some of Hendersonville’s most famous landmarks, including a stop at the old Methodist cemetery and a recounting of tales from the long-lost Henderson Plantation.
Sircy, the renowned author of Southern Ghost Stories: Hendersonville, Tennessee and 40 other books on United States folklore, will share his expert knowledge of local legends and paranormal intrigue.
“Hendersonville has a rich history, and like many old towns, some of that history is hidden in the shadows,” said Sircy. “This tour isn’t just about scares; it’s about sharing the forgotten stories and legends that shaped our city. We’re peeling back the layers to see what’s underneath.”
The 60-minute journey is perfect for history enthusiasts, thrill-seekers, and anyone curious about the city’s haunted history.
